Astral, a leading South African integrated poultry producer, has this career opportunity at the County Fair Primary Processing Plant in Fisantekraal.

· Participating in the formal training plan for apprenticeships; make reasonable progress to achieve the competencies in this regard;

and attend necessary training or assessments related hereto;

· Keeping the training record (logbook) in possession, and produce it to the employer and/or training organisation when requested;

· Maintaining, repairing and optimising plant and associated devices under guidance of qualified Artisans/Technicians;

· Obeying all workplace health and safety, and code of conduct workplace rules;

· The successful candidates will be required to enter a formal learnership agreement with the company and AgriSeta.

· Have completed Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Science, or Technical Matric;

· National Technical Certificate – N2 or higher in the relevant engineering discipline;

· Be ambitious and dedicated, making full use of the opportunities the industry has to offer;

· Must be a team player;

· Have high level of energy and be action orientated;

· Have mental alertness, be analytical and have problem solving ability

· Have attention to detail;

· Have the ability to complete the apprenticeship within 36 months

Have own transport and live in Cape Town Northern Suburbs close to the Primary Processing facility in Fisantekraal (R304)
